Kinka Shores is a proposed master planned residential community fronting Kinka Beach Road and the Scenic Highway (Yeppoon-Emu Park Road) at Kinka Beach, in Queensland's appealing Capricorn Coast region.
The proposed project site is approximately 172 hectares of cleared former cattle farm land and is planned to include a range of residential and community uses to expand the existing coastal town of Kinka Beach.
The proposed Kinka Shores project includes a range of residential product with varying densities across the site; a retirement village; a caravan and relocatable home park; a family-friendly water park; a local retail centre; a school; a child care centre; sports fields; a professional centre; recreational parks and open space.
The Kinka Shores master planned community will expand the scale and mix of available dwellings in the region and provide a much-needed boost to the region's tourism, employment, infrastructure, facilities and services within the Capricorn Coast region.
The master plan application will be lodged with Rockhampton Regional Council in August 2011.
